Near-Field and Ultrafast Dynamic Properties of Plasmonic Nanostructures Revealed by Photoemission Electron Microscopy(表面等离激元纳米结构的近场和超快动力学特性)

  Plasmonics is a rapidly developing research field and it deals with the interaction between electromagnetic field and free electrons in metals. For example, metal nanostructures can enable the localization of electromagnetic fields on nanometer length scales resulted from localized surface plasmon resonances (LSPRs). Understanding the near-field properties of plasmonic nanostructures is crucial for both fundamental physics and practical applications, but it remains challenging. Recently, photoemission electron microscopy (PEEM) has been demonstrated as a promising approach in pinpointing the near field of plasmonic nanostructures. In this talk, I will first introduce how PEEM is employed to obtain near-field mapping, near-field spectra, and dephasing time of LSPRs. In particular, we will discuss the near-field properties of some coupled plasmonic systems. For example, plasmon hybridization on gold dolmen structures can be resolved in near field both spectrally and spatially. The manipulation of the dephasing time of the strongly coupled plasmon modes between localized and propagating modes is also demonstrated. This study can benefit to understand the mechanisms of some plasmonic based applications such as artificial photosynthesis and solar cells.

20007月本科毕业于北京大学物理学系, 20061月获北京大学光学专业理学博士学位2006-2010年先后在加拿大拉瓦尔大学和日本北海道大学从事博士后研究2011年至今任北海道大学助理教授20171月至今兼任吉林大学吉林省长白山学者讲座教授主持过日本JSPS青年基金1先后参与中国加拿大日本的国家级科研项目若干项目前以海外合编辑项目成员身份参与北京大学主持的国家重大科研仪器研制项目 “飞秒-纳米时空分辨光学实验系统”。已在Light: Science  ApplicationsChemical ReviewsNature CommunicationsOptics Letters等学术期刊发表论文30余篇目前主要研究方向是超快微纳光学特别是应用光电子显微镜(PEEM)从空间365bet体育在线频率光谱等多维度来研究表面等离激元的近场光学性质
